About NO More Fear

NO More Fear (NMF) is a psychoeducational and exposure-based therapy program designed to help individuals ages 10 years and up who are living with OCD and anxiety disorders. The program is led by Janet Caryk, Registered Psychologist and co-founder of the CFCBT, with over 35 years of experience. NMF is designed to help individuals understand the principles of successful exposure in order to overcome fear-based behavior. The exposure program incorporates key concepts from Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals change their relationship with their anxious thoughts and emotions.

The program can be delivered in a variety of settings to meet the needs of individuals seeking help for OCD and anxiety disorders. The program can be held in person in large group settings, smaller group settings, and individual sessions, providing participants with the opportunity to engage with others who share similar experiences and receive personalized support from a Registered Psychologist. In addition, the program can be delivered through virtual reality sessions, providing individuals with a safe and controlled environment in which to practice exposure therapy and confront the things they are afraid of.

The flexibility of the NO More Fear program allows individuals to choose the setting that is best suited to their needs, making it an effective option that is tailor-made for the client's anxiety profile.

Overall, the NMF program is a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to treating OCD and anxiety disorders. By incorporating exposure therapy and key principles from CBT and ACT, individuals are empowered to face their fears and develop effective coping strategies. With the support of a Registered Psychologist, participants can feel confident in their ability to overcome their anxiety and live a more fulfilling life.
