UNstuck: An OCD Kid's Movie

I am excited to endorse the powerful and inspiring film UNstuck: An OCD Kid's Movie. This 23-minute award-winning documentary features six brave teens who openly share their journeys with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, offering a raw and hopeful perspective on living with OCD. The film skillfully avoids sensationalizing OCD, instead highlighting the complexity of the disorder through the authentic voices of these young experts. I encourage all of my clients to find and watch this film on Kanopy as they begin their own ERP journeys.

I had the pleasure of first meeting Chris Baier, the producer of UNstuck, and Kelly Anderson, the film’s director, in New York City back in 2019. Their dedication to raising awareness and fostering understanding about childhood OCD left a lasting impression on me. Most recently, I had the joy of reconnecting with Chris at the IOCDF Conference in Chicago. Their work is a treasure for the OCD community, and I am grateful to share it with my clients and colleagues.
